The Emotional Struggle

Hello all,

I know, I know. I haven't updated in centuries. But know that I'm hard at work, spending lots of time in reflection, listening to good music, watching some good movies and starting to map out a 2nd book in my mind. I started doing some public speaking, which has been nothing short of amazing. So if your reading this and you wanna book me for a event, just shoot me an email and we will go from there.
Sorry for not having much to say, don't worry, we will all have a great length discussion soon.

Hello all,
Its been awhile since I've given a update. I've been really busy with promoting my first book. Promotion. Promotion. Promotion. Most authors are just happy with having a book out, but I want to cover as much ground as possible. I really want to put a tour together, that in its self is a process. And is very difficult to say the least. If you are the praying kind, please pray for me. I've spent a lot of quiet nights in reflection what is going on in our world. And the truth of the matter is our world is still in a huge mess to say the least. Even though the death toll is slowing down, people are still loosing loved ones and dreams are going with them. But I believe that even when our world is a mess, the need for hope is more. Its greater and it is possible. The deal is, we have to get past being cynical and get off our rumps and do something. What exactly? Pray. Write letters of hope to our soldiers, thank them for fighting with their hearts for our freedom. Its time to put the fire and passion back in our lives, pick up a good cause, fight for something that begs of honesty and energy. I guess you can sorta see that I'm a little cranked up. And the truth is I am. So wish you all to live with fire and passion in your hearts, feel deeply and love earnestly. Talk to you all soon!

Hello friends,
Grace and peace to you all. I hope that this update finds you well, I've been spending a lot of time in reflection and observation. And I have been really moved by some of the surrounding events happening in our world. Starting with some of my observations from elections, but I won't go into any detail here. I've also been super inspired by some great bands: Payable On Death, Linkin Park and a Indie band called Wavorly.
Do yourself a favor and check out all these bands, they make great music. So I think its safe to say that I have plenty of thoughts to put down for a second book. But don't jump the gun, these are just mere ideas, and you never know. I may think of something different tomorrow :)
Stay safe, stay informed, stay inspired. never give up.

Hello,
Its been awhile and its time for another update. I hope you have had a peaceful easter with your friends and family. I've been very busy as of late working with my new marketing consultant, Brian Smith. Brian is helping me get focused on a specific plan to market my book more precisely. Brian is a very cool guy that likes NPR. =)

I have a new hero right now, and her is Elaine Hall. Elaine is a single mom to her adopted Autistic son Neal. I first found out about Elaine and her son when I was watching a documentary on HBO late last night. As I watched this, I was so deeply moved by Elaine and her heart for Autistic children. Watching Elaine strive with all she had to give this kids a voice through a musical.

Hearing Elaine speak about the struggle of raising and teaching such an amazing child as Neal. One thing that really stuck out to me was Elaine spoke about praying for just enough strength to make it through this nigh with her son. What I find so beautiful and poetic about this is how, we as humans think 7 days ahead. We just want to make it through the week, the month, the year.

Elaine on the other hand, just wants to make it through today. Perhaps that why a poet in the psalms tells us just to focus on today. (psalms 95:6-8) Which leads me to this one last final though. How beautiful is it, to stay connected with someone you love and care about, versus just simply saying "yep, uh huh, sure." All while being some place else?

Kudos to Elaine and all the moms and dads who long to bring hope to these beautiful children. Jesus, loves these kids. He knows each hair on their heads and they are in need of love just like you and I.

Grace and Peace.

Hello,
Grace and peace to you. First and foremost I would like to give credit to Matt Mccrary for taking all the wonderful photos you see on this page. We will probably be have some re-takes done when the weather warms up here more. Matt and I froze are butts off trying to get the best shots we could with what we had.

I know so many people have been asking me about a second book, and to clear it all up. Yes. There will in fact be a second installment of my thoughts poured out on paper. When though? That's for me to know and for you all to sit tight and read my first book if you still haven't already.

I'm really trying to be spiritually aware of what God may have for me to write about, I really want to write something even more hopeful and honest. I really want to give more of myself in this second time around. So if you are the praying type, pray for me. If you are not, think kind thoughts for me.

I really am excited to start writing again when the time is right, there is so much going on in our world. There's so much pain, so much hurt and despair in everyday life. But I know that where there is pain, there is hope and grace and love waiting for you. The question is wether or not your keen on knowing where to find it.

I think that's enough for now. Keep up with my blog page, I'll update that soon. And if you have ITunes be sure and down load the new single by Payable On Death, the name of the song is "Addicted" and it is like a car wreck between melody and crashing guitars and drums.

Shalom.
